Political Messaging

Dear Fandom Team,

I am a longtime user of Wookieepedia and have relied on it as a reference for Star Wars content, such as my WEG and EotE RPG games. Recently, I noticed the inclusion of a political symbol on the site. I find this distracting and inappropriate for a platform dedicated to entertainment and factual franchise information.

Wookieepedia’s primary purpose is to provide information about Star Wars. Many users engage with entertainment as a form of temporary escapism from political issues. The presence of political messaging undermines that purpose and negatively impacts the user experience.

I urge Fandom to reconsider the inclusion of political symbols on content pages and maintain a neutral environment for all users.

Thank you for reading.

It looks like this is something you should discuss directly with the Wookieepedia community and their representatives. The elements you mention are usually decided and implemented directly by them, and in some cases where we could collaborate with any related program, we usually collaborate with and they agree before they carry out.

I suggest you to discuss the topic directly with the admins from the wiki, in their user talk pages:

  Or start a discussion thread:
