Redirected from
С ответомRecently, the "Redirected from" text was changed from "Redirected from [redirect page name and link]" to just "Redirected from another page" with a link to the page.
This seems like a completely pointless change and only adds a step should a user want to verify that they searched the right term or check the redirect is even correct. Especially given that it still links to the target page.
I am aware of various issues relating to redirects, including that if they use a space (%20) instead of an underscore, they don't work. But I believe these should be fixed rather than changes made to the functionality or appearance, because I believe that affirmation and clarification is extremely important and the "redirected from" text is an extremely important notice, both for editors and readers.

Here's an example where using a space in an URL instead of an underscore does not even produce a "redirected from" message despite still working and redirecting the to the target page:

Thank you for your feedback!
Recently, as you already noticed, we implemented a change to the way "Redirected from..." notices appear at the top of the pages. We can confirm that this will be explained in more detail in the next Tech Update on Monday.
We made this change to ensure that page titles containing certain terms -often resulting from vandalism- do not appear automatically in the redirect notice, where they cannot always be reverted instantly. This was done to maintain a safe environment and meet our content safety standards.
In this case, we applied the adjustment immediately to prevent the redirect system from being misused during the transition period. We understand that the lack of prior notice caused confusion, and we apologize for the lack of transparency.
While the anonymization for general visitors will remain, we have heard your concerns (and seen the Dev Script created in the last few days). We are now working on an update to ensure that logged-in editors will see the original page title as before. You are right -this information is essential for admins and editors, and it helps to identify and revert vandalism effectively.
This update won't be immediate, but we are working on it and it will be released soon. Our first priority was protecting visitors, and now we are focusing on mitigating the impact of this measure on your editing experience.
Again, thanks for your feedback and your patience!
