When you edit a galley in visual editing mode, it makes sure that each image name starts with "File:". It doesn't annoy me personally, but it leads to other users making edits just to remove the unnecessary parts. (Like in the image below, if you can see it.) Could there just make sure that those parts don't get add in the first place?

  Hi there, this is just the default way images get added to a gallery. However, the preferred format also seems to differ wiki from wiki, so there isn't a "one way to please all" solution. Therefore, we won't be altering the default.

  That said, if these sort of edits go against local wiki Editing Manual of Style, there are other tools to potentially use, like a warning via the Special:AbuseFilter tool.
