Greetings,

I would like to request an option in user preference settings that allows users to choose the default orientation of dropdown navigation menus—specifically, whether they open to the left or to the right. Additionally, it would be very useful if wiki administrators could define a default orientation at the wiki level.

Currently, the UI decides the dropdown orientation automatically, which is not always aesthetically pleasing and can lead to inconsistent layouts. In particular, for languages that use a left-to-right writing system, having dropdowns open to the left often can feel counterintuitive and visually unbalanced.

Allowing manual control over this behavior would improve usability, visual consistency, and localization support across different languages and layouts.
